Following an invitation from the Permanent Representative of the Principality of Monaco to the OSCE to observe the elections of the National Council on 10 February 2013, the OSCE/ODIHR deployed an Election Expert Team.
Activities of the Election Expert Team
The OSCE/ODIHR EET, headed by Mr. Konrad Olszewski, consists of 4 international experts.
The OSCE/ODIHR EET will evaluate the parliamentary elections for their compliance with OSCE commitments and other international standards for democratic elections, as well as with domestic legislation. Experts will closely monitor candidate registration, campaign activities, campaign finance, the work of the election administration and relevant governmental bodies, election-related legislation and its implementation, voter registration, the media environment, and the resolution of election-related disputes.
Systematic observation of voting, counting or tabulation of results on election day is not envisaged.
A final report on the entire electoral process will be issued approximately eight weeks after the conclusion of the EET’s work.
