Description

The CHANGE project's objective is to strengthen the individual and collective impact on democratic institutions, policies and social norms to advance gender equality, women's human rights and women's safety.

ODIHR capitalizes on its human dimension mandate to advance gender equality and engage with civil society, democratic institutions, security sector, judiciary, political leaders as well as human rights defenders and representatives of underrepresented groups.

Recognizing that the desired change in advancing gender equality requires a transformative and multi-pronged approach, this initiative integrates a broad range of elements from across ODIHR's mandate required to address the existing obstacles to gender equality.

The project supports CHANGE at the individual, collective and institutional levels including through scaling up innovative solutions tackling root causes of gender disparities and enhancing the environment for gender equality work.

Currently, the countries directly benefiting from the project are: Georgia, North Macedonia, Poland and Uzbekistan.
