Reform and co-operation in the security sector

In line with its mandate and the OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security, the OSCE Programme Office provides comprehensive support to the Kyrgyz Government in its implementation of reform in the security sector, including law enforcement. The Programme Office also provides support aimed at institutional and professional capacity building of the National Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, strengthening professional competencies of public servants and enhancing the role of women and youth in the area of democratic governance, regional co-operation and diplomacy. The Programme Office consults members of law enforcement agencies who serve on the national Public Councils and provides them with technical, methodological and logistical support.
