This project has been specifically designed for young diplomats and experts from OSCE Partners for Co-operation who are not eligible for the OSCE Junior Professional Officer programme so they have an alternative way to receive an in-depth insight into the OSCE's mandate and work.
Five participants from both OSCE Asian and Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation had the opportunity to spend two weeks with the OSCE in Vienna to participate in OSCE meetings and events. The study visit included several briefings regarding the history and structure of the OSCE as well as the Organization’s activities on gender equality, youth, conflict resolution, transnational threats and combating human trafficking.
The selected participants for 2024 were from Australia, Egypt, Jordan, Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
During their visit, the participants also met with representatives of several OSCE Institutions including the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (Vienna office), the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), and the Office of the OSCE Special Representative on Combating Human Trafficking.
A particular highlight of the 2024 programme was participation in the 2024 Prague Forum on the Economic and Environmental Dimension of the OSCE.
The next study visit will take place in September 2025. The call for applications will be shared with the delegations of OSCE Partners for Co-operation in Vienna.
The OSCE Partners for Co-operation are Afghanistan, Algeria, Australia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Jordan, the Republic of Korea, Morocco, Thailand and Tunisia.
