The study-visit has been specifically designed for young diplomats and experts from OSCE Partners for Co-operation, taking into account the specific needs of partner countries.
Five participants from both OSCE Asian and Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation had the opportunity to spend two weeks with the OSCE in Vienna to participate in OSCE meetings and events. The study-visit included several briefings regarding the history and structure of the OSCE as well as the Organization’s activities on gender equality, youth, economic and environmental issues, transnational threats and combatting human trafficking. In addition, the participants attended a tailored workshop held by the Conflict Prevention Centre (CPC).
During their visit the participants also met with representatives of several OSCE institutions at the Vienna office of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, including the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), the Office of the OSCE Special Representative on Combatting Human Trafficking and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).
The selected participants for 2022 were from Australia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Thailand.
The next study-visit is planned for September 2023. The call for applications will be published on the OSCE website in spring 2023.
The OSCE Partners for Co-operation are Afghanistan, Algeria, Australia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Jordan, the Republic of Korea, Morocco, Thailand and Tunisia.
