OSCE Mission in Kosovo holds fourth edition of Youth Academy

The 4th edition of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Youth Academy was held from 11 to 14 October 2022, with some 60 young people from different communities and backgrounds attending.

The four-day program aimed to help youth take on a greater role in ongoing changes in society and engage in decision- and policy-making mechanisms. It included interactive sessions on topics such as human rights education, non-discrimination and equality, cultural heritage, and community rights. Participants also visited cultural and religious heritage sites in the historic centre of Prizren, and attended lectures by leaders of human rights institutions and youth activists on their experiences, initiatives and impact.

Participants then worked in groups to outline project ideas on topics like gender equality, domestic violence, community rights, and overcoming language barriers, which they presented to a panel jury and will later implement in their local communities.
