OSCE Centre holds workshop for Uzbek law teachers

TASHKENT, 2 March 2005 - Thirty teachers from law faculties of various Uzbek universities are participating in a three-day workshop that started today in Tashkent.
The event, organized by the OSCE Centre in Tashkent, aims to identify the main goals and primary challenges of legal education in Uzbekistan. Participants will discuss different teaching methods and exchange experience.
Marta Johansson from Orebro University, Sweden, will conduct the workshop. She will also lecture on human rights and global developments at law faculties of Uzbek universities.
The workshop is part of the activities within the legal education support programme of the Centre in Tashkent.
