OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine launches Youth Contact Groups in Lviv, Kharkiv and Kramatorsk
KYIV, 1 December 2015 –The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine is pleased to announce the expansion of its Youth Contact Group (YCG) dialogue initiative to Lviv, Kharkiv and Kramatorsk over the next few months as part of its mandate to facilitate dialogue in order to reduce tensions and promote normalization of the situation.
Following the success of the Kyiv YCG, the SMM aims to build bridges between youth from different regions of Ukraine, including those that are currently not under government control, in order to empower them to become dialogue facilitators in their country.
These initiatives will allow more young people in Ukraine to work together with the SMM to come up with practical dialogue solutions to problems affecting their communities as a result of the conflict.
The SMM invites young people aged 18-25 to become a part of the YCGs.
