Call for participants at Cross-Border Research Conference in Tajikistan

Researchers and practitioners specializing in border management and the security sector from OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation are invited to apply to participate in the Cross-Border Research Conference 2014. The event will take place from 17 to 21 November at the OSCE Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe.

To apply, researchers are requested to submit their article along with a relevant presentation, while practitioners are asked to prepare a presentation on their professional achievements. All conference-related articles and presentations should be on the topic of “Border Security: Globalization and the Challenges of Migration”.  The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2014.

The conference will bring together scholars and researchers in border security and management to share research findings, experiences and exchange ideas. They will interact with practitioners from border, customs and immigration services, who will have the opportunity to test research theories with the realities on the ground.

Research findings presented at the conference will be published.
