OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) Daily Report 208/2019 issued on 3 September 2019

Summary
- Compared with the previous 24 hours, the SMM recorded fewer ceasefire violations in both Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
- The Mission observed multiple craters and projectiles in flight in Pikuzy.
- The SMM saw that the former forward positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and of the armed formations inside the Stanytsia Luhanska disengagement area continued to be dismantled.
- It observed military hardware inside the Petrivske disengagement area and recorded ceasefire violations outside the Zolote disengagement area.
- The Mission saw weapons in violation of withdrawal lines in government-controlled areas.
- The SMM monitored adherence to the ceasefire to facilitate repairs to and the operation of essential civilian infrastructure, including a water pipeline between Zolote-3/Stakhanovets and Popasna and power lines near Artema.
- Restrictions of the Mission’s access continued, including at checkpoints near non-government-controlled Nova Marivka, Zaichenko, Veselohorivka, Voznesenivka and Verkhnoshyrokivske as well as near government-controlled Nevelske and Bohdanivka.*
