OSCE Skopje Mission organizes youth leadership conference
SKOPJE 27 February 2003
SKOPJE, 27 February 2003 - The OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje and the Nansen Dialogue Centre (NDC) will host their second joint Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) at the Makpetrol Hotel in Mavrovo between 28 February and 2 March.
The event will bring together a range of secondary school students from the Kumanovo/Lipkovo area to discuss and learn about leadership development, conflict resolution, teambuilding and how to find and implement solutions to the challenges facing their communities. These objectives will be achieved with the help of lectures, role plays and debates.
This event builds on the first highly successful YLC that was held with Tetovo secondary school students in December 2002.
Following this conference, the OSCE mission intends to organize similar events for students from Skopje and Ohrid/Struga. The series of conferences is funded through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
