OSCE Mission to Skopje supports peace building project
SKOPJE, 8 Oct 2007 - A series of workshop discussions and a photo exhibition on successful peace building projects around the world, supported by the OSCE Mission, opened today in Skopje.
Giorgio Radicati, Head of the OSCE Mission, said: "Peace building has been one of the achievements of this country and is a success story to be promoted. There are many very talented and dedicated individuals behind these achievements."
The Peace Counts Project documents efforts of peace builders in different countries around the world, and then helps to spread news of their efforts through a traveling photo exhibition and workshops.
The German Foreign Office and the OSCE Mission to Skopje are supporting the Skopje exhibition and workshops, which will be attended by journalists, police officers and education professionals.
"When enough people are convinced by these local efforts, hostilities will stop," said Tilman Wörtz, a German journalist working on the Peace Counts Project.
