OSCE Mission to Skopje hosts Law Faculty students from Stip
Some 30 students and professors from the Law Faculty of the Goce Delcev University in Stip visited the premises of the OSCE Mission to Skopje on 16 December 2015 to learn about the work of the Mission, particularly in the field of rule of law and good governance.
The students were welcomed by the Mission’s Head Nina Suomalainen who briefed them about the Mission’s role in supporting the further implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, advancing constructive inter-ethnic relations and maintaining the Mission's early warning capacity.
The visit, which was organized as part of the Faculty’s study programme on the work of international organizations, was an opportunity to exchange ideas between the OSCE Mission’s Rule of Law Unit and future legal practitioners on effectively implementing OSCE commitments on the rule of law and good governance within the work of national stakeholders.
The students also learned about the Mission’s activities in areas such as independence of the judiciary, criminal justice reform, equal access to justice for all communities, non-discrimination, hate speech and hate crime.
