OSCE Mission to Skopje announces winners of award promoting safe and environmentally friendly schools
OSCE Mission to Skopje and the Ministry of Education and Science held a ceremony to award schools that won the title of being safe and environmentally friendly, in Skopje on 14 July 2015.
Primary schools Vlado Kantardziev from Gevgelija, Kliment Ohridski from Skopje and Kliment Ohridski from Makedonski Brod, as well as the secondary schools Vlado Tasevski and Nikola Karev from Skopje, have been selected from among twenty six entries from all over the country.
“The contest was aimed at encouraging schools to take a more active role in improving the existing environmental and safety conditions,” said Acting Head of OSCE Mission to Skopje, Ambassador Marianne Berecz, adding that more should be invested in creating better conditions for students.
The competition is part of the OSCE project for fostering better inter-ethnic relations and safe schools through education.
