OSCE experts arrive in Minsk to support authorities in investigation of journalist's death

MINSK, 25 October 2010 - Two senior OSCE experts arrived in Minsk today to support authorities in the investigation into the death of the Belarusian journalist Aleh Byabenin.
The experts' review of the investigation comes in response to a request made by the Belarusian authorities. The request asked the OSCE to send experts to review and examine all relevant evidence related to the death.
The two experts, seconded by Sweden and Norway, have vast experience in forensic science and medicine. Working under a confidentiality agreement, they will study the existing materials concerning this case.
