OSCE Secretary General discussed with Georgian Foreign Minister domestic situation, Organization’s engagement with Georgia

The OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier met with the Foreign Minister of Georgia Maja Panjikidze on 10 October 2013 during her visit to Vienna.
They discussed the domestic situation in the country, including the engagement by the OSCE/ODIHR in the observation of the 27 October 2013 presidential elections, as well as other developments in Georgia.
Strengthening the OSCE’s engagement with Georgia, including through OSCE activities on the ground, was also discussed at the meeting.
Panjikidze and Zannier also reviewed the state of preparations for the OSCE Ministerial Council to be held in December in Kyiv. They agreed on the significance of the OSCE as a platform for dialogue to promote progress in addressing unresolved issues.
