OSCE Mission to the FRY calls on electorate to vote on Sunday
BELGRADE 10 October 2002
BELGRADE, 10 October 2002 - On the threshold of the second round of the Serbian Presidential elections, the OSCE Mission to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) joins others who have called for full participation of the voting electorate in exercising the right to choose between the two democratic candidates.
"The Presidential election is an historic opportunity for the Serbian electorate, particularly young voters, to make their desires known, through the ballot box. It is their right to do so, and their obligation to bring the voting process to a successful conclusion this Sunday. To participate fully will go a long way to ensuring a better life for all in a vibrant democracy" - said Mark G. Davison, Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to the FRY.
