OSCE Mission to announce "Persons of the Year" at reception tomorrow

BELGRADE, 12 December 2006 - The OSCE Mission to Serbia will announce the winners of its "Persons of the Year" awards in Belgrade tomorrow.
Organized for the first time, the awards will recognize individuals who have contributed to the implementation of the OSCE Mission's programmes and who in their work uphold OSCE values.
Five individuals from the areas of law enforcement, rule of law and human rights, democratization, media, and economy and environment will each be awarded 2,000 Euros. An institution of their choice which contributed to their professional development will also receive a certificate of recognition.
Media representatives are invited to attend the reception and the awards ceremony from 18.00 to 20.00, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Milentija Popovica 5, in Belgrade.
