How does the Security Sector Reform Affect Human Security in Serbia? Reassessing the Impact of Security Sector Reform on LGBT People
In 2016, the OSCE Mission supported the Public Policy Research Centre, civil society organization to conduct a research on how the security sector reform affects human security in Serbia and to reassess the impact of security sector reform on LGBT people. The purpose of the research was to establish whether there have been changes in the policies of security sector institutions concerning the LGBT community as a vulnerable group.
This research paper is a continuation of the Mission’s and Centre’s 2011 study entitled LGBT People and Security Sector Reform in the Republic of Serbia, which provided an opportunity to make a comparative analysis of the earlier and new research findings.
It is developed as part of an extrabudgetary project on consolidating the democratization process in the security sector in Serbia, supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
