Follow Us initiative promoted at Western Balkans Summit in Vienna

A “Follow us” initiative on dialogue of prominent women from Belgrade and Pristina was promoted at the Western Balkans Summit on 27 August 2015 in Vienna.

The OSCE Mission to Serbia and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs jointly organized the presentation.

The event highlighted the OSCE’s role in promoting confidence building between former conflicting societies and the specific active role of women in conflict resolution. This lies at the core of the “Follow Us” initiative, launched by the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the OSCE Mission in Kosovo in 2012.   

Event participants included high-ranking officials taking part in the Berlin Process, delegations of the OSCE participating States, civil society organizations, academia and the media.

After the screening of the “Follow Us” documentary film, participants discussed the potential of a dialogue forum in promoting confidence building and reconciliation.
