OSCE/EU support sustainable employment of Roma throughout Serbia

Eighteen companies will be noted for best practices in Roma employment during a ceremony on 10 June in Leštane.
The programme supporting sustainable Roma employment is a part of the EU-funded project “We Are Here Together - European Support for Roma Inclusion” implemented by the OSCE Mission to Serbia. The 18 selected enterprises from all parts of Serbia will receive support to open over 65 sustainable jobs, and employing 62 Roma. Support consists in equipment, necessary expert assistance and professional training.
The State Secretary of the Ministry for Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, Nenad Ivanišević, the Director of the Government of Serbia Office for Human and Minority Rights, Suzana Paunović, the Co-ordinator of Roma Policy at the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Negotiations for Enlargement of the European Commission, Marta Garcia Fidalgo, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Peter Burkhard, and the President of the National Council of the Roma National Minority, Vitomir Mihailović will speak at the event
