Call for Applications: 3rd edition of the OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme

The OSCE Secretariat has the pleasure of announcing the call for applications for the third edition of the OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme (WPLP), focusing on the intersection of gender, climate, and mediation.
This program, implemented under the umbrella of the OSCE Networking Platform of Women leaders including Peacebuilders and Mediators, takes a comprehensive approach to addressing the gendered impacts of climate change and aims to empower women to take on meaningful leadership roles in climate action across the OSCE region and Partners for Cooperation. The programme will run from 1 April to 31 October 2025.
The programme will offer:
- Sessions with professionals experienced in climate policy, gender equality, and environmental security.
- Peer-to-peer exchanges on gender, climate, and mediation.
- Opportunities to engage with decision-makers and influential actors involved in climate action and environmental governance.
- Training modules on topics such as leadership development and negotiation strategies.
- Networking events with peers and experienced professionals to foster a community of practice.
- Exchanges with similar networks of women professionals in the OSCE, including the OSCE network on Empowering Central Asian women in renewable energy
Eligibility and Selection criteria:
- You are a female citizen of an OSCE participating State or Partner for Cooperation with a minimum of 7 years of experience working in climate-related fields such as environmental security, natural resource management, or climate policy and advocacy.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Clear interest in and commitment to gender equality in connection to environmental policies.
- Availability to commit to participating in the entire programme for its duration, and in all its components, as per draft outline below:
- 6 online workshops (2h each).
- One week of full-time training in Vienna, Austria (September 2025).
- Virtual group sessions with the experienced professionals working on climate, gender and mediation

No applications will be accepted after the deadline. By taking part in the application process, you consent to the collection and use of the data for the selection process.
