The original 'Roaring Lion' portrait of Winston Churchill that was stolen in 2022 was handed over during an official ceremony the Embassy of Canada in Rome, Italy, on 19 September 2024. From right to left: Elissa Golberg, Ambassador of Canada to Italy; Genevieve Dumas, General Manager of the Fairmont Château Laurier; Isabelle Mondou, Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage; and Nicola Cassinelli, private collector who unknowingly bought the stolen print.
