The OSCE has supported the development and strengthening of women’s leadership ranging from working with young women alumni of the OSCE Scholarship for Peace and Security, to building capacity of networks of women in policing in Southeast Europe and Central Asia and supporting women entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. International Women’s Day provides a good occasion to examine how women’s leadership strengthens peace building and conflict prevention, to exchange good practice and explore new and innovative ways how the OSCE can promote women’s leadership.
- Discuss women’s leadership in the context of women’s meaningful participation in peace processes and conflict prevention
- Highlight the intergenerational approach to women’s leadership and how networks can promote intergenerational dialogue
- Promote the work of the OSCE in supporting women’s leadership in peacebuilding and conflict prevention
- Recommendations on how the OSCE can support women’s leadership.
