OSCE Website re-launched
VIENNA, 13 April 2005 - It is now easier for visitors to the OSCE website to find what they are looking for among the tens of thousands of items available on the site and in the online archive. The improvements are the result of a major redesign of the user interface and underlying databases.
Visitors can now find OSCE documents and publications much faster thanks to a powerful new search engine. Documents are also easily accessible to users with slower connections as the new website incorporates a system for automatically converting PDF documents to HTML format, speeding up downloads considerably.
The sub-sites for the OSCE network of field operations and Institutions have also been re-engineered so that they are more self-contained while retaining their essential relationships within the framework of the whole site.
For those visitors who are new to the Organization, the website was designed to make it easier to understand what the OSCE does and to find more information on specific topics of interest.
The new OSCE website is at //www.osce.org.
