Domestic Violence and the COVID-19 Crisis - Trends, Recommendations and Potential Areas of Assistance
This paper was jointly developed by the Transnational Threats Department’s Strategic Police Matters Unit and the OSCE Programme for Gender Issues. It aims to highlight the effects of the current COVID-19 pandemic on gender-based violence, with a focus on domestic violence (DV). It outlines potential measures and recommendations on how to address the negative effects of the current crisis on the prevention of DV and the support to victims.
