The 2030 Agenda: Gender Equality as a Pre-requisite for the Effective Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings.

Yannick Glemarec, Deputy Executive Director at UN Women, discusses the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and how the root causes of the trafficking of women and girls must be tackled. He commends the decision of the Alliance to focus on innovative partnerships in addressing human trafficking and calls for the inclusion of human trafficking survivors into such partnerships.
