Climate Change and Security - Cross regional
This brief offers an overview of the security implications and most vulnerable geographic areas as identified during a regional participatory assessment process on Climate Change and Security in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the South Caucasus conducted by the ENVSEC Initiative in partnership with the European Union Instrument for Stability and the Austrian Development Agency from late 2013 to 2016. The participatory assessments were conducted in the framework of the ENVSEC project “Climate Change and Security in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus” with the overall goal to identify and explain how climate change may exacerbate threats to security, and to propose effective measures in response.
