Democratic policing practices and guidelines

Promoting the principles of democratic policing is the foundation of the OSCE’s police-related activities and constantly taken into account in the process of police development. The OSCE strives to create a democratic vision of policing for the whole region and to put that vision to work. One essential aspect is sharing good policing practice from participating States, which have been brought together in a number of guideline documents.
