The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine invites all motivated candidates who are interested in the practical aspects of preparing and submitting a constitutional complaint, as well as its gender dimension, to participate in the open online training "Gender, dignity, equality. Constitutional complaint as a protection tool against discrimination ".
The training will also be useful for legal aid clinics and human rights NGOs, with further using the knowledge gained to provide adequate assistance to members of vulnerable groups on effective access to a constitutional complaint.
The training will cover the following topics:
Topic 1: Theory and constitutional practice
Equality: principle and law
Equality and non-discrimination: egalitarian concepts of modern constitutionalism
Dignity and non-discrimination
Practical dimension of the right to equality
Topic 2: Equality: gender dimension
Gender and power: the concept of gender constitutionalism
Multidimensionality of gender equality
Gender aspect of the right to equality
Gender and society: how I can make an impact
Topic 3: The practice of constitutional proceedings
- Admissibility of a constitutional complaint: what you need to know
- Argumentation of the constitutional complaint
- Proceedings in the CCU and the public interest
- The decision is made. What's next?
Training participants will obtain certificates in case they have achieved at least 90% attendance of the training.
The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine supports diversity and inclusiveness, and thus encourages interested women and men candidates from all national, religious, ethnic and social groups to participate in this training.
