Rapid development of information technologies and, thus, increasing vulnerability of state information systems urge the need for sustainable efforts in creating safe and secure cyber environment. Recognizing the importance of responsible cybersecurity practices among civil servants at different levels or hierarchy, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator developed the educational series of videos “Cyber Hygiene Essentials”.
Cyber hygiene is a set of practices and efforts that computer system administrators and users can undertake to improve and maintain their security online while they engage in everyday online activities, such as web browsing, emailing, texting, etc. In addition to the protection of networks and equipment, the cyber hygiene practices are often part of a routine to ensure the safety of identity and other details that could be stolen or corrupted.
The course will be presented by:
- Valeriya Ionan, Deputy Minister for Eurointegration at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine;
- Amb. Henrik Villadsen, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine;
- Nataliya Aliushyna, Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service;
- Olga Voitovych, National Project Officer, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine;
- Demyd Maiornykov, Founder of “Sekurno”, National Cybersecurity Expert.

The series was developed in cooperation with the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service and Ukrainian School of Governance in the framework of the project “Strengthening Ukrainian State Authorities’ Cyber Hygiene and Cybersecurity Capacity” implemented by OSCE PCU and supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and German Federal Foreign Office.
