The handbook provides an in-depth analysis of ten fundamental human rights, such as the right to life, right to fair and equal treatment, the right to liberty and security of person and others. The book highlights the origin of those rights and history of their evolution, it explains their meaning and presents an overview of liability for violations. The handbook uses interactive methods to meet the needs of primary (6-12 years) and secondary (13-18 years) school children. Special attention is paid to practical exercises designed to help children understand the nature of human rights in practice.
The publication is aimed at teachers, professors, lawyers and all those interested in human rights seeking to raise awareness of human rights among children, and is not available in English.
