With the support of the European Union, OSCE concludes Tactical Field Capacity Building course for Border Troops of Tajikistan

Under Phase 3 of the European Union-funded “Stabilization of Tajikistan's Southern Border Region with Afghanistan” project, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe concluded its second “Tactical Field Capacity Building” course for officers of the Border Troops of Tajikistan held from 10 March to 5 April 2025 at the Khalkayor Training Centre in Panj, Khatlon region.
Throughout the four-week programme, 29 officers participated in comprehensive training aimed at enhancing their operational readiness and field performance. The course focused on key areas of tactical preparedness, including survival skills, topography, and first aid. These skills are critical for effective border management in the often harsh and unpredictable terrain of southern Tajikistan.
Delivered through integrated theoretical sessions and field-based activities, three Border Troops instructors of Tajikistan, who had previously graduated from the project’s Phase 2 Training of Trainers (ToT) courses, supported the course, ensuring sustainable training capacity within the Border Troops.
The third phase of the project focused on stabilization of Tajikistan's southern border region with Afghanistan, which the European Union Foreign Policy Instrument funds with 2.5 million EUR, highlights the commitment of the European Union and the OSCE to supporting Tajikistan’s border security and capacity-building efforts.
