OSCE supports a lecture on international anti-corruption standards for students of the Academy of Public Administration
On 18 April 2024, in the framework of its anti-corruption awareness-raising campaign, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe supported one lecture on anti-corruption in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Some 20 undergraduate students attended the lecture and enhanced their knowledge of the anti-corruption efforts of Tajikistan in the context of international standards. Erekle Urushadze, an Anti-Corruption Analyst at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France, delivered the lecture. Urushadze was visiting Dushanbe in connection with the monitoring mission of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia on the implementation of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan.
Tajikistan is currently being reviewed under the 5th Round of Monitoring of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan. The findings of the monitoring report, which will be adopted at the Anti-Corruption Network plenary meeting in September 2024, will have a strong impact on the agenda of further anti-corruption reform efforts of Tajikistan within the framework of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan, as also foreseen in the Action Plan to the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
