OSCE Patrol Programming and Leadership Project handover ceremony
22 September 2017
Since its inception in 2008, the OSCE’s Patrol Programming and Leadership (PPL) project has been offering highly specialized capacity building to the Border Guard Services of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. The PPL project trained more than 1, 000 Tajik, Kyrgyz and Afghan border officials in patrolling and leadership skills. The project has been fully embraced by the beneficiaries with strong support from donors. The PPL project remains a key element of the border capacity development efforts for the OSCE’s Programme Office in Dushanbe and is among the most visible and supported initiatives in Tajikistan and the region.
On 15 September 2017 the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe held the official handover ceremony of both the project assets and premises of Gissar Training Centre to the Host Country authorities.
