NATO Secretary General to address OSCE Permanent Council on Thursday
VIENNA, 2 November 2005 - NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will address Representatives of the 55 participating States of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe on Thursday, 3 November.
His speech will cover current co-operation between the two international security bodies, as well as other issues affecting the security of Europe.
Media representatives are invited to observe the regular session of the Permanent Council in the Neuer Saal of the Hofburg Congress Centre, in order to report on the NATO Secretary General's speech. He is expected to deliver it around 10:30.
De Hoop Scheffer, a former Dutch Foreign Minister, was the Organization's Chairman-in-Office during the 2003 Netherlands Chairmanship of the OSCE.
For admittance to the Hofburg Congress Centre, please bring either your OSCE accreditation badge or a valid press card to the security desk, located in the main entrance from Heldenplatz.
