International Law Summer Academy 2025

Leading experts in international law, European Union law, legal theory and philosophy, judges of the European Court of Human Rights and the Supreme Court, representatives of international organizations, as well as national and international scholars and legal practitioners will share their knowledge and experience with the participants of the Third International Law Summer Academy, organized by the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine and the Supreme Court, with the support of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of International Law.
The event will focus on issues of international justice, the interaction between international and national law, international humanitarian law, and international investment law. It will also include discussions on the legal aspects of European integration processes.Up to 30 students and postgraduate students will have the opportunity to:
- Explore in depth the complex issues of international law, including the challenges of aligning Ukrainian legislation with the EU acquis.
- Examine the specificities of international criminal justice and the mechanisms for the protection of human rights.
- Analyse the resilience of Ukraine’s legal system in the context of wartime conditions.
Students and postgraduate students who wish to deepen their theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in the field of international law are invited to apply for participation in the Summer Academy. The competition is open to applicants from both law and related fields in the humanities, including international relations, political science, philosophy, sociology, and others. The deadline for applications is 4 May 2025, by 23:59 Kyiv time.
