The Commission on Journalistic Ethics and the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine invite journalists from national and regional media, especially from frontline regions, to participate in the seminar «Media Self-Regulation: Rules for a New Reality», which will take place on 23–27 April in Zakarpattia.
The seminar will focus on key challenges facing Ukrainian media: threats to the physical and mental health of journalists, financial instability, the need to maintain editorial independence, and building audience trust. Participants, together with leading national and international experts, will explore practical solutions for media operations in times of war.
The seminar will cover:
- The specifics of media self-regulation and regulation during wartime;
- Global experiences in media self-regulation and their adaptation to Ukraine;
- The benefits of self-regulation and successful implementation cases;
- Analysis of journalistic standard violations and lessons learned.
The event will feature interactive sessions, panel discussions, and practical exercises.
Conditions of participation: The organizers will provide accommodation and meals for participants, as well as reimburse travel expenses (within specified limits).
