The four days at the Camp will give the participants an opportunity to learn the best practices of provision of social services and psychological assistance in times of war. Among other things, the selected young specialists will get a better understanding of how the crisis and traumatic events related to the war affect the ability of people to provide and receive services. Participants will acquire practical skills for using a trauma-informed approach when working and interacting with different groups of society, and various types of people in need of psychosocial assistance. Young professionals will gain tools which will help to strengthen the resilience of social service providers and enable better support for their beneficiaries.
Requirements for participation:
The Youth Camp is open to young professionals – social service providers and social workers who have been working in government and non-government institutions providing social services for no more than 3 years. Young professionals between the ages of 18 – 35 years old are invited to participate in the Youth Camp. The participants will endeavour to implement an initiative related to the topic of the event in their own community/place of work after the Youth Camp.
Application procedure:
Participants will be selected on a competitive basis. To take part in the selection process candidates must fill in the application form.
The deadline for submission of applications is 1 July 2024 (inclusive). The results of the selection of successful candidates will be announced by 5 July 2024.
Participation in the Youth Camp is free of charge. Travel expenses, accommodation and meals are provided by the organizers. Arrival of participants is on 29 July, departure is on 3 August.
The event is organized in the framework of the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine’s project "Building Capacity of National Stakeholders to Provide Social and Psychological Support to Conflict-Affected People in Time of War and During Post-Conflict Recovery" implemented in co-operation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
