Principles on Identification for Sustainable Development: Towards the Digital Age
Without a legally recognized identity and proper means of identification people may not have access to fundamental rights, including civil, socio-economic and political rights. ODIHR has therefore joined 14 international agencies in endorsing a list of ten key principles to ensure proper identification for individuals, particularly with the use of modern technology.
