OSCE completes election observation in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

SKOPJE, 29 September 2000 — The OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission for the Municipal Elections in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia announces that it will close its office in Skopje on Saturday, 30 September 2000.
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), in co-operation with the OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje, will continue to gather information on the outcome of the municipal elections. The comprehensive Final Report will be issued by ODIHR about one month after completion of the electoral process.
The OSCE/ODIHR looks forward to co-operating with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia's authorities in implementation of the recommendations emerging from the Election Observation Mission.
