Recommendations on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to Participate in Political and Public Life in the OSCE Region (Dublin Recommendations)
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), in consultation with ODIHR’s Advisory Panel on the Political Participation of Persons with Disabilities, has developed a set of recommendations on the rights of people with disabilities to participate fully in political and public life. These recommendations are for participating States, their parliaments, lawmakers, political parties and election management bodies (EMBs). They reflect the commitments OSCE countries have made to ensuring all those with disabilities can take part in political and public life.
The recommendations are designed to help stakeholders advocate for the genuine inclusion of people with disabilities across the OSCE region.
