The Corruption Prevention Commission of Armenia (CPC) and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) are organizing a workshop on political integrity and gender equality in political parties to explore strategies for enhancing ethical governance, accountability and inclusivity within political organizations. This event is part of ‘Stronger Democratic Institutions in Eastern Partnership Countries: an ODIHR project supported and funded by the EU’.
The event will bring together representatives of Armenian political parties, governance experts, and ODIHR specialists to discuss the role of integrity mechanisms, codes of conduct and financial transparency in strengthening democratic resilience and fostering public trust. A key focus will be on gender equality in political party structures, addressing barriers to participation and identifying concrete measures to promote more inclusive and representative political environments. The workshop aims to equip Armenian political parties with the tools to strengthen their internal accountability and inclusive decision-making processes.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Ensuring that political parties uphold integrity, accountability, and gender equality is essential for strengthening democracy and fostering public trust. Ethical governance mechanisms, transparency measures and inclusive leadership enhance democratic resilience and ensure that political parties reflect the diverse interests of society.
