Second OSCE Workshop on Rehabilitation for Victims of Torture: Outcome report on discussion and recommendations
This second OSCE workshop was organized jointly by the 2018 Italian OSCE Chairmanship, the Government of Denmark, the Government of Switzerland, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the inter-governmental Convention against Torture Initiative (CTI) and the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT). It aimed at offering delegates working on the OSCE human dimension a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding on how torture victims are assured their right to rehabilitation under the guidance of leading experts and practitioners working with victims of torture in the OSCE region. The workshop also aimed at providing a platform to discuss practical challenges and promising practices among OSCE participating States, based on the ODIHR/CTI Implementation Tool on Providing Rehabilitation to Victims of Torture and Other Ill-Treatment.
