Carolina Hidea
Carolina Hidea is the Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia. She is a professional U.S. diplomat with over 20 years of experience in international relations, economic policy, and regional security. Carolina Hidea has served in Venezuela, Azerbaijan, and has held multiple assignments in Washington, D.C. She has also held key leadership roles in U.S. embassies worldwide. In Rwanda, she led the political and economic teams, addressing regional security, conflict minerals, and refugee issues. In Serbia, she led the economic team that focused on supporting Serbia’s reform efforts. Most recently, as Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Romania, she managed a diverse team focused on energy diversification and regulatory reform. In January 2024, Hidea joined the OSCE Mission to Serbia as Deputy Head of Mission, where she continues her commitment to diplomacy and international co-operation.
