OSCE Approach to Preventing and Combating Organized Crime
The OSCE applies a comprehensive approach to preventing and combating transnational organized crime, based around three inter-connected components:
1) research to better understand the phenomenon and criminal justice challenges in this field,
2) action to address illicit financial flows and strengthen asset recovery,
3) fostering a culture of lawfulness and resilience.
Promoting gender-sensitive approaches and regional co-operation are cross-cutting priorities under each component.
