Ambassador Antti Karttunen
Antti Karttunen from Finland has been appointed as the Head of OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan as of 23 January 2024.
Antti Karttunen has over 20 years of experience of working in demanding international roles. Most recently he served as Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova from June 2019 to June 2023. He was Resident Twinning Adviser in EU funded capacity building project in the Ministry of Finance of Georgia 2013-2015; and served as Project Manager of Confidence Building projects at EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM) 2015 – 2017.
He has held supervisory and project management positions within capacity building projects in the fields such as good governance, anti-corruption, education and civil service training. These projects have included assignments in the following countries: Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Jordan, Lithuania, Russia, Romania, Türkiye, Ukraine, Zambia. In addition, Antti Karttunen has two years of experience of military crisis management in Kosovo.
Antti Karttunen holds a master's degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki.
