The OSCE is organizing a Model Conference in Batumi, Georgia, from 19 to 23 November 2019 to provide future decision-makers and activists insights into how multilateral institutions work.
We want to raise awareness about the OSCE, its security concepts and the consensus based decision-making process. The event promotes exchange between young political experts and other professionals, and stresses the role of youth in peace and security issues.
Participants will have an opportunity to contribute to the creation of a strong and diverse youth network, gravitating around OSCE’s values and commitments and engage in civic processes in Georgia. The Model OSCE will feature a simulation exercise based on the work of one of the Organization’s decision-making bodies, the Permanent Council. In addition to taking part in the simulation exercise, participants will take part in a series of briefings, courses and interactive workshops taught by international experts.
All expenses for participating, including travel and accommodation, are covered by the organizers.
