Standing Working Group on the Safety of Journalists 2017-2021 Activity Report
The 2017-2021 Report on Results and Activities of the Permanent Working Group for Safety of Journalists (PWG) was written by Tatjana Vasiljevic Veljkovic (Office of Republic Public Prosecutor), Zvezdan Radojkovic (former Deputy Director of the Police), Rade Djuric (Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia), Bojana Kostic (Expert for safety of journalists) and Miroslav Jankovic from the OSCE Mission to Serbia. This Report is supposed to be significant know-how source for all states which are considering a way how they could establish an efficient mechanism for improving safety of journalists situation in their respective countries. The Report explains not only the results and activities of the Group implemented in the period 2017 – 2021, but also its internal structure and an entire process of its establishment including various challenges throughout its existence. In addition, it contains an extensive overview of similar International initiatives and standards, when it comes to the safety of journalists.
