Information disorder in media reporting

This publication has been developed by the Technical Working Group on Self-Regulation and supported by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro. Information disorder - the creation and dissemination of false, misleading or malicious information - represents the dominant tool of manipulation of public opinion in the digital age. The basic intention of this manual is to help media professionals in a clear and reviewed way to recognize and critically assess possible distortions and aberrations of the "material" they work with - valuable, but also easily perishable and abusable "goods" - information. Not available in English.
The views, opinions, conclusions and other information expressed in this document are not given nor necessarily endorsed by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) unless the OSCE is explicitly defined as the Author of this document.
